Searching

They had been looking for it everywhere. They knew they must still have it, they wouldn’t, couldn’t have thrown something so valuable away. So it must just be displaced, put back in the wrong place, tidied away, it couldn’t be lost.

But the longer they looked the more dispirited they became. Inside they began to blame the others for its loss. Questions formed, accusations made, silences deafening, wounds opened.


In desperation, finally, led by exhaustion they collapsed into each others arms. There, held together they found it. Small, fragile but most definitely there - hope

Our haunted souls


In ancient times there were those that believed that certain birds and their cries were the lost and haunted souls of humans. Seagulls held the lost sailors and fishermen, Ravens the souls of those that worked the land. Today, in our modern world what birds carry the lives of our professions? Which jobs are represented by the Great Tit, which career by the Lyrebird?
