The Quiet Storm
There was no wind
No thunder claps
No lightening bolts
No fearful screams
No pounding rain
And yet we knew
The storm was here
A quiet storm
That sent us indoors
In quiet isolation
In hearts we know
As all storms do
That it will pass
Stay strong
Stay safe
In head and heart
For when it’s passed
We will emerge
To build again
A new life
For us all
But what blocks will we choose
To build our futures
In the quiet storm
We have a chance
To imagine a new way
So as we pause
Reflect on that
We truly miss
Because these are the foundations
Of our new life
When the quiet storm
Has passed
Has passed
