Without even knowing it he had slipped into his old ways, daydreaming.
He really thought he had overcome it, his concentration had seemed so much better
yet, here he was once again drifting. Should he go with the thoughts in his
head, the fantasies, the fantastical, the strange lives and wonderful lives he
led.
It was here he felt safe, here he felt comforted, here he
lived the life he wanted to lead
A noise, a noise was interrupting his thoughts. He tried to
block it but it was insistent. A noise that would puncture the dream. He would
have to go back to real life and concentrate. There was the voice
“Doctor, he’s ready.”
‘Mustn’t lose concentration now,’ he thought as he steadied
the scalpel.
